The NMD element is one of the best bodyboards under £80, a great starter bodyboard for someone who is looking for something a little more branded and is very similar to the Science Pipe stringer. Included are some great features that make it stand out from other boards at its price. The template is narrower than that of the Alder Assassin so less bouyant for the smaller days and for heavier riders.
The template is very similar to that of the pro bodyboards like the NMD Base but lacks the Surlyn bottom, the more forgiving and flexible 8lb open cell deck and the nose and tail bumpers that add to the stregth and performance to the board. The board performs reasonably well in surf up to 4 feet with good speed and control but tends to be too flexible in anything above that size. If you are looking to spend under £120 on a bodyboard and want one of the top names in the business the NMD Element is defo worth consideration. Another tough board to beat under £120
